Barry Meklir, a Licensed Physical Therapist and Licensed Muscular Therapist, who studied the chiropractic discipline of Applied Kinesiology with Dr. David Leaf, DIBAK, D.C., the former President of The International College of Applied Kinesiology, is truly a practitioner of Manual Medicine. For the last 30 years he has been “Healing Boston by Hand” and has developed a legion of devoted and grateful patients.
Barry grew up in southern New Jersey and attended one of the top 10 public high schools in the country. From 1984-88 Barry attended Boston University where he was a pre-med biology student who spent 2 years working in a reproductive endocrinology lab. Upon his graduation in 1988 with a BA in Biology, he began working at The Schepen’s Eye Research Institute. For 7 years he conducted medical research where he became a co-author on a number of scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. From 1991-1993 he attended the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA which at that time was one of the Nation’s leading massage schools. He opened Muscular Solutions upon graduation. In 1998 while keeping his office open, he went back to graduate school and earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2001. Upon graduation he split his time between Muscular Solutions and working in various outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinics around the Greater Boston Area before devoting himself full time to Muscular Solutions in 2004.
